Information about the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan
The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth is distressed by the recent events in Japan. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our friends, in Japan and elsewhere, whose families and loved ones have been affected by this disaster. In particular our thoughts are with the people of Sendai, Dallas’ International Friendship City.
We will continue to disseminate information about the situation via our website, the JASDFW Facebook page, and the Dallas-Sendai Facebook page.
Relief Funds
The Japan America Society of Dallas Fort Worth has launched an emergency relief fund that will be used to aid relief and recovery efforts in Sendai, Japan, one of the cities hardest hit by the disaster. Sendai and Dallas have been International Friendship Cities since 1997, and money raised through the JASDFW fund will be sent to organizations involved directly with relief efforts in Sendai. All contributions are tax-deductible.
